Natural voice input
Speak the task in ordinary language rather than dictating a rigid sequence of form fields.
Home Assistant voice tasks
Available nowConnect a Home Assistant or Nabu voice workflow to Plaineo and create organized tasks without opening the app. Speak in a supported language, hear a confirmation and assign the task to an allowed household member when needed.
Home Assistant voice tasks are most useful when the request happens away from a keyboard: in the kitchen, workshop, hallway or anywhere a Nabu device is ready to listen. Plaineo receives the recognized request and uses AI to structure the task.
The created item is not trapped in the voice assistant. It becomes a normal Plaineo task that can be edited, scheduled, shared, completed and synchronized across the connected user's devices.
The integration combines speech recognition, Plaineo task creation and spoken confirmation.
Speak the task in ordinary language rather than dictating a rigid sequence of form fields.
Use English, Czech, German, Slovak, Spanish or Portuguese for input and the corresponding spoken response.
Map the request to a day, week, date range or allowed category according to the spoken details.
Hear a response in the selected language after the workflow has interpreted and created the task.
A configured Nabu device can accept the task in one of six supported languages and answer in that language. This supports multilingual households without forcing every person through the same English command format.
Speech recognition and AI interpretation happen online, after which the created task joins Plaineo's normal offline-first data flow.
Explore Plaineo AI voice ->The integration can use connected household membership, spoken aliases and allowed assignment settings to target a person other than the default user.
That enables requests such as creating a household responsibility for a specific connected person while keeping assignment rules explicit in the integration setup.
Read about sharing and collaboration ->Authorize Plaineo, select the voice language and configure allowed household users, aliases and task destinations.
Tell the Nabu or Home Assistant voice workflow what to create, when it belongs and who should receive it.
Hear the spoken result, then edit or manage the created task in Plaineo like any other item.
Natural household requests can become structured work in the connected plan.
The voice workflow requires an internet connection, an authorized Plaineo account and a valid Home Assistant or Nabu setup. Speech recognition and AI interpretation cannot run from Plaineo's offline task store alone.
Assignment is limited to connected users and configured permissions. Spoken aliases should be distinct enough to avoid ambiguity, and the resulting task should be reviewed in Plaineo when details are important.
