If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. - Maintain and update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or store using the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your User Content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the functionality of the Service. This license does not authorize Plaineo to train a general-purpose AI model on your content unless you separately and explicitly opt in to such use.
5.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to submit the content
- Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- Your content is not harmful, offensive, or inappropriate
5.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate, without prior notice.
5.4 User-to-User Sharing
The Service allows you to share tasks, calendar items, and files with other registered Plaineo users. By sharing content:
- You grant the recipient access to that content for as long as sharing remains active
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you share only appropriate content and only with intended recipients
- You are solely responsible for any content you share that violates laws or the rights of others
- We are not liable for content shared between users or for any misuse of shared content by recipients
5.5 Public Links, API Keys, and Integrations
Public task links are accessible to anyone who has the link until revoked. Public API keys, Alexa account linking, Home Assistant connections, and widget credentials can authorize actions against your account within their configured scope. You are responsible for protecting these credentials, reviewing third-party automations before enabling them, and revoking access when it is no longer needed. Actions made with a valid credential are treated as authorized by you unless you notified us of compromise and revoked the credential.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Václav Mikeska and is protected by international copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service is built on and integrates with the following third-party services. Depending on the features you use, your data may be processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent practices, but Plaineo shares only the data needed to provide the selected feature.

Google API Services: Our use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to provide calendar synchronisation and for no other purpose.
AI providers: By affirmatively enabling or using an AI feature, you ask Plaineo to transmit the relevant input and context to the providers needed for that feature, as described in the Privacy Policy and, on iOS, the in-app AI disclosure. Model routing and providers may change as the Service evolves; a material change to iOS third-party AI sharing requires renewed permission. Provider retention is not uniformly zero and may include temporary security, abuse-prevention, billing, or operational retention under the applicable provider terms. Plaineo configures direct Alibaba Model Studio processing through a workspace-specific Germany (Frankfurt) endpoint with EU deployment scope and sends OpenAI requests with provider-side storage disabled.
Google Calendar: You choose which supported mode and calendars to connect. Calendar sync may create, update, import, or delete corresponding event/task copies based on the selected direction, sync state, and actions you take. You are responsible for reviewing sync configuration and changes. Disconnecting stops future access and removes Plaineo's connection/sync state as described in the unlink flow; it does not act as a general backup or guarantee restoration of earlier calendar state.
Firebase / Google: Authentication credentials are managed entirely by Firebase Authentication. We do not store your passwords. We cannot guarantee actions taken by Google regarding data hosted on their infrastructure beyond what is stated in Google's terms and privacy policy.
8. Offline Functionality and Local Data
The Service stores a local cache of your data on your device using IndexedDB (in the browser or native app WebView) and may cache selected attachments in app-private storage. This allows supported parts of the app to function without an internet connection. You acknowledge that:
- Local cached data is available on the device until you sign out or clear browser/app data
- In a shared or public device, you should sign out to prevent others from accessing your cached data
- Cached data is synced to the cloud when connectivity is restored; conflicts are resolved automatically using our sync rules
- We are not liable for data loss caused by clearing local storage, uninstalling the app, or device failure before data has synced to the cloud
9. Service Availability and Updates
9.1 App Updates
Plaineo is built as a web application delivered inside a native app shell (using the Capacitor framework). This architecture means the Service has two distinct update mechanisms:
Native app releases (via app stores): Changes to the native app shell, significant new features, changes that affect core app functionality, and any updates that alter data structures or synchronisation behaviour are released through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in the form of versioned app updates. We submit such releases for store review in accordance with each store's guidelines.
Web layer updates: The web content layer of the app (which provides the user interface and application logic running inside the native shell) may be updated independently of the native version, consistent with how web applications routinely update their content. Such updates are used for bug fixes, performance improvements, security patches, minor UI adjustments, and content changes that do not alter the core functionality or purpose of the app as reviewed and approved by the app stores. These updates do not change what the app fundamentally is or does.
We will always release a full native app store update for changes that:
- Introduce significant new features or substantially alter existing functionality
- Modify the data model or synchronisation protocol in a breaking way
- Would otherwise require app store review under applicable store policies
9.2 Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be unavailable due to:
- Maintenance and updates
- Technical issues or failures
- Circumstances beyond our control
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.
Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing the Service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, internet outages, third-party infrastructure failures (including Firebase / Google Cloud Platform outages), government actions, cyberattacks, or other events outside our control.
10. App Store Distribution
10.1 Google Play Store
The Service is distributed through the Google Play Store. By downloading and installing the app from the Play Store, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. You acknowledge that:
- Google may collect certain information as part of the app distribution and update process
- App updates may be delivered silently through the Play Store
- Refund and cancellation policies for in-app purchases are governed by Google Play Store policies
- We are not responsible for the Play Store's policies, availability, or any issues related to app distribution through Google Play
10.2 Apple App Store
The Service is also distributed through the Apple App Store. By downloading and installing the app from the App Store, you also agree to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge that:
- Apple Inc. ("Apple") is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or its content.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Service.
- In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service or your possession and/or use of the Service, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Service fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- In the event of any third-party claim that the Service or your possession and use of the Service infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Apple will not be responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, or discharge of any such claim.
- App updates may be delivered through the App Store.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Service (e.g. you must not be in violation of your wireless data service agreement when using the app).
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
- We are not responsible for the App Store's policies, availability, or any issues related to app distribution through the Apple App Store.
11. Free Tier, Paid Plans, and Billing
Plaineo offers a Free tier and optional paid subscription plans. The purchase screen displays the current price, currency, billing interval, included features, AI allowance, storage allowance, trial or promotional terms (if any), and renewal terms before you confirm a purchase. Store prices and taxes may vary by country or platform. No charge is made unless you affirmatively complete a purchase through the applicable checkout.
11.1 Payment Providers
- Purchases made in the iOS app use Apple In-App Purchase.
- Purchases made in the Android app use Google Play Billing.
- Web purchases use RevenueCat Billing, with Stripe acting as RevenueCat's payment gateway.
- RevenueCat manages product offerings and subscription entitlements across platforms. Plaineo does not receive or store full payment-card details.
Your purchase is also governed by the terms, billing rules, and payment methods of Apple, Google, RevenueCat Billing, or Stripe, as applicable.
11.2 Renewal, Cancellation, and Access
Paid subscriptions automatically renew for the billing interval shown at checkout unless cancelled before the applicable provider's renewal deadline. You can manage or cancel a native subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to purchase it. Web subscriptions can be managed through the RevenueCat customer portal linked from Plaineo.
Cancellation stops future renewal but normally leaves paid access active until the end of the current paid period. When the subscription expires, the account returns to the Free tier and its limits. A billing issue may result in a temporary grace period; access may be limited or removed if payment is not recovered. Deleting the app or your Plaineo account does not automatically cancel a store-controlled recurring subscription, so cancel it before account deletion.
11.3 Plan Changes, Trials, and Shared Plans
Plan changes take effect according to the applicable provider's checkout terms. Web upgrades are normally applied immediately and web downgrades at the end of the current billing cycle. App-store proration and effective dates are controlled by Apple or Google. Any trial or promotion is subject to the eligibility, duration, included allowance, conversion, and expiry terms shown when offered.
Where a plan allows benefits to be shared with other Plaineo accounts, the purchaser controls that subscription. Cancellation, expiration, removal from the shared plan, or loss of the purchaser's entitlement may reduce participating accounts to their own plan or the Free tier.
11.4 Refunds and Changes
Refund requests for Apple App Store or Google Play purchases are handled under the applicable store's policies. Web refund requests are handled under the terms shown by RevenueCat Billing and Stripe and applicable consumer law. Except where required by law or provider policy, unused time, AI allowance, or storage allowance is not redeemable for cash.
We may change future plan prices, allowances, or features. Any change affecting an existing renewing subscription will be communicated and applied with the notice or consent required by the applicable provider and law. Price or plan changes do not remove rights granted by mandatory consumer-protection law.
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also delete your account through the app settings. If you have a recurring subscription, cancel it through the applicable store or web management portal before deleting your account.
12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account and associated data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through the Service or email.
